Healthy School Week April 2014

Healthy School Week was an inspiring week for everyone in Millbrook with cooking competitions, Wake and Shake every morning, involving both children and parents, new sports being experienced and finally team building activities. Koala’s New Classroom

Over the half term period 17th to 21st February, work commenced on Koala’s new classroom. This modern, purpose built, timber-framed ‘eco’ classroom will be located near the north eastern corner of the current school in what is currently the gardening area. Has Anyone Seen Our Sky Probe?

On Wednesday 9th October the whole school gathered on the field to watch the launch of the skyprobe. Troy Wilson a parent/governor arranged the event and following permission from the CAA the skyprobe was launched with a  traditional count down just after 10am.  The weather direction should have taken the skyprobe towards Sussex and reached the edge of space taking photographs as it went….

Sensory Garden wins Gold

Millbrook is one of only two schools in the South West to achieve the Gold Primary Science Quality Mark! As part of this award we are developing a ‘Sensory Garden’. This will provide a stimulating outdoor learning environment to be use by the children.
