Happy (belated) Diwali!

We loved celebrating Diwali in Ladybirds and Bumblebees at the beginning of this term. We made lots of different Rangoli patterns using a variety of loose parts, we decorated Mehndi hands and we made our own Dandiya sticks to do some dancing with. We looked at the similarities and differences between different festivals and talked about the different things that we each celebrate at…

Autumn in Bumblebees and Ladybirds

This term in Ladybirds and Bumblebees we have been learning all about Autumn. We have decorated pumpkins, made some Autumn garlands and, after reading ‘Stick Man’ and ‘Not a Stick’, we made our own stick people and stick wands. We loved launching our conker rockets on welly walk to see which one would fly the furthest!

Balanceability in Bumblebees & Ladybirds

These excited children received their Balanceability certificates in assembly on Friday after completing their Balanceability lessons. So far we’ve been learning about boats, starfish, cars and butterflies. I wonder what we’ll be learning about…

Born in a Barn

KS1 and Foundation stage worked incredibly hard to put on three fantastic performances of Out of the Ark’s production, ‘Born in a Barn’. A special well done to all the Year 2s for learning their parts and projecting their voices so well. All the children across the 4 year groups performed so well and the singing was beautiful. A big thank you to all…

Autumn in Ladybirds and Bumblebees

Ladybirds and Bumblebees have all settled really well into school. This term we have been learning lots of new skills to make us independent learners. We love Funky Fingers and Dough Gym as it helps us to exercise our fingers and arms to get us ready to be great writers. In PE we have been trying really hard to get ourselves undressed and dressed,…
