Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Kung Hei Fat Choy!   Happy Chinese New Year! In Foundation Stage, we have been celebrating Chinese New Year this week. We have made Chinese lanterns, lucky red envelopes filled with Yuan, Chinese dragons, built Chinese houses and chopped vegetables to go into our Chinese stir fry which we ate with our chopsticks!). Loose parts and more in FS2!

We have been using loose parts to create our own fantasy worlds. We have been carefully learning to use tools to hammer and screw into wood. We have been planting, harvesting, preparing and eating our own vegetables.


Supertato to the rescue!

The Evil Pea spent a whole week in the Foundation Stage causing trouble! Luckily, Supertato and his Super-Veggie friends came to the rescue and finally trapped the Evil Pea! We loved celebrating Diwali in Ladybirds and Bumblebees at the beginning of this term. Autumn in Bumblebees and Ladybirds

This term in Ladybirds and Bumblebees we have been learning all about Autumn. We have decorated pumpkins, made some Autumn garlands and, after reading ‘Stick Man’ and ‘Not a Stick’, we made our own stick people and stick wands. We loved launching our conker rockets on welly walk to see which one would fly the furthest!
