Happy Chinese New Year

Recently in Foundation Stage we have been celebrating Chinese New Year. We have made Chinese dragons, built Chinese houses and compared them to our own homes, made lucky red envelopes with yen inside, made Chinese lanterns, chopped vegetables to go into our stir fry (which we loved eating with our very own chopsticks!) and we all danced around the playground with instruments and scarves…

Born in a Barn

KS1 and Foundation stage worked incredibly hard to put on three fantastic performances of Out of the Ark’s production, ‘Born in a Barn’. A special well done to all the Year 2s for learning their parts and projecting their voices so well. All the children across the 4 year groups performed so well and the singing was beautiful. A big thank you to all…

Autumn

Here is our amazing Autumn Display created by Ladybirds, Bumblebees and Caterpillars.

Autumn in Ladybirds and Bumblebees

She showed us how to use Henna to create a…

Learning about London…

Ladybirds and Bumblebees loved learning all about London and it was made even better with our ‘buddies’ in Year 3 and 4 becoming our tour guides! They made leaflets and fact files as well as amazing models to teach us all about the places that they had visited on their trip to London. Thank you ‘buddies’, you made our learning even more fun!

Natural outdoor art

In Ladybirds and Bumblebees we have been exploring different media and materials. We have learnt how to use different tools safely, found out different ways of joining materials and we even made our own kites! We then looked at natural art and made our own outside on the playground.
