Loose parts and more in FS2!

We have been using loose parts to create our own fantasy worlds. We have been carefully learning to use tools to hammer and screw into wood. We have been planting, harvesting, preparing and eating our own vegetables.


Science in Year 1

In Year 1 we are learning about plants and our five senses in Science. We explored different fruits, herbs and plants including lemons, basil and garlic and used our senses to describe them. We even had a go at tasting some of them!


Recycling at the disco!

Thank you to the children who attended the school disco on Thursday 23rd May for helping Millbrook Friends recycle the packets and cartons from the snacks. You should be proud that you have saved all this from going to landfill.

Comic Relief

Thank you for donating your loose change to create a red nose for Comic Relief. We raised a fantastic amount of £175.57.


Supertato to the rescue!

The Evil Pea spent a whole week in the Foundation Stage causing trouble! Luckily, Supertato and his Super-Veggie friends came to the rescue and finally trapped the Evil Pea! Year 6 STEM workshop

Some Year 6 children enjoyed a trip to Honda for a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) workshop on Wednesday 13th February.  They also enjoyed a tour of the factory and met some of the Honda racing team, including one of the drivers!


Sports for Champions

On the Thursday 28th of February, Millbrook Primary School welcomed a very special visitor, 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games hopeful Megan Fletcher. She competes professionally in Judoka (Judo). Megan was representing Sports For Champions who help athletes raise funding to compete at the top level. Breakfast Bagel Bar launch

This week we launched a free breakfast Bagel Bar for all of our children .As part of the National Schools Breakfast Programme, the Mayor and Mayoress of Swindon attended the launch at our school on Wednesday 16th January.
