Year 6 STEM workshop

Some Year 6 children enjoyed a trip to Honda for a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) workshop on Wednesday 13th February.  They also enjoyed a tour of the factory and met some of the Honda racing team, including one of the drivers!


Year 5 trip to The Crystal

On Tuesday 5th February Year 5 children visited The Crystal in East London, a futuristic style sustainable building. The children learnt about urban planning and sustainability. They were taught about the problems facing our planet and how they can make a personal contribution to sustainable urban living.


Breakfast Bagel Bar launch

This week we launched a free breakfast Bagel Bar for all of our children .As part of the National Schools Breakfast Programme, the Mayor and Mayoress of Swindon attended the launch at our school on Wednesday 16th January. Celebrations in KS1

Key Stage 1 have been learning about Celebrations. For the first two weeks of term, we learned all about the Hindu festival of Diwali and how it is celebrated. Staying Healthy at Millbrook- Yr 1 & 2 football

Millbrook Year 1 and 2 children represented the school in a football tournament against our LACT schools on Friday 23rd November.  The team were superb and won the final!  Every squad member played a game and were instrumental in the success of the team.  Lets hope they continue their love of the sport outside of school as well!


Happy (belated) Diwali!

We loved celebrating Diwali in Ladybirds and Bumblebees at the beginning of this term. We made lots of different Rangoli patterns using a variety of loose parts, we decorated Mehndi hands and we made our own Dandiya sticks to do some dancing with.
